DETECTIVES are appealing for witnesses after a 55-year-old man was stabbed at a house in Long Lane, Hillingdon, on Wednesday.

Police were called to reports of an assault, where an unknown man punched one of the occupants to gain entry to the house. He then stabbed another occupant before fleeing from the scene.

First aid was administered to the victim. He was taken to hospital and is recovering from his injuries.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned black man, aged in his 40s with short dark hair, about 5ft 10in tall and of stocky build. He was wearing a green-coloured 'parka'-type coat.
