RADIO Hillingdon celebrates 45 years of broadcasting this year and is looking for any past presenters and volunteers to join in the celebrations.
The station, which broadcasts to patients at Hillingdon Hospital, will be producing a series focusing on the memories and experiences of its past presenters.
Radio chairman and ambulance driver Steve Hickman said: “I am very proud of the station and volunteers who give up their time each week to brighten up the patients’ stay.
“I’m looking forward to getting as many people together as possible to hear stories of the radio and how it’s changed over the years.”
Last year, the station was voted the fourth most listened-to hospital radio station in the UK, averaging more than 3,500 listeners a week and has had a number of high-profile guests, including London Mayor Boris Johnson.
If you know any past presenters or have any lasting memories of the radio station, Steve would like you to contact him via steve.hickman@radiohillingdon.org.uk
