A NEW Sainsbury’s Local store will be officially opened this Friday, next to Eastcote tube station.
Nick Hurd MP will be cutting the ribbon at 9am and guests will include Jeff Duley, of Eastcote Royal British Legion, which the store is aiming to support.
Store manager Allan Smith will have a team of 25, 18 of whom are from the immediate area and 10 of them new to Sainsbury’s.
“It will provide customers with an alternative as it is near the station,” said Mr Smith. “Its locality will be good for customers going to work or coming home who want to pop in and buy something quick and fresh.”
