AN unbelievable Uxbridge footballer scored himself a place in England’s squad for the Euro six-a-side Championships this month.

Mo Hashi will be pulling on the Three Lions jersey as prepares to represent his country for the third time.

Defender Mo will be heading to Hungary as part of the squad who are bidding for glory at the 32-team Championships held in Szekesfehervar.

The Uxbridge resident came through trials and training competing with hundreds of others from around the country for the coveted slots.

UKMA national teams Director Pete Mitchell said: “Competition was fierce, but Mo is an experienced figure and will be looking to pass that knowledge on to the newer members of the squad.”

Mo is making his third appearance at the tournament — which has been won by Romania for the last five years.

Marvellous Mo will join an England squad who are making their fifth appearance at the European Championships.

England have had some mixed results in the tournament so far — being knocked out in the group stages in 2012 in Moldova, reaching the quarter finals in 2013 in Crete and the last 16 in each of the last two years.
