A BUDDING photographer from Hayes beat off hundreds to make it through to the top 100 finalists of a national photography competition — and now he needs your help.

Daniel Waller entered his picture into the annual Carole Nash MCN Moto Foto contest in the hope of winning one of three fantastic prizes.

The 42-year-old’s photo, taken in front of a house once lived in by Arthur Joseph Penty, a British architect and writer, impressed the judges.

He now needs locals from London to support his entry by voting for it on the Carole Nash insidebikes Facebook page

The top ten photos will make the shortlist and final judging will take place in early October.

The lucky winners will be revealed during the UK’s biggest bike show, Motorcycle Live, at the Carole Nash stand at the NEC in November.

Mr Waller said: “I once read that as a biker you'll find yourself taking the long way home.

“With this in mind and on my new steed, I did just that.

“With the sun shining, I found myself staring out at the banks of the river Thames in Church Street near Syon Park, Brentford.

“As I walked back to my bike I couldn't help noticing the bunting on the house behind, as it complimented the shade of the V-Strom and the Wisteria in all its glory climbing from the basement. I feel happy that my photo stood out to be in the final.

“In the eye of the holder is one thing but to be chosen by another makes it special.”

Mr Waller is now in the running to win a TomTom Rider 410 Premium (plus Bandit) worth £800.

If he comes in second place he will get a TomTom Rider 410 EU worth £319.99, and third place would see him bag a TomTom Rider 40 WE worth £279.99.

Rebecca Donohue, head of marketing at Carole Nash, said: “We’ve received so many fantastic entries it’s been a tough enough job choosing our final 100, let alone pick a winner.

“It’s amazing to see so many bikers are taking stunning photographs whilst out and about with their bike.

“Everyone at Carole Nash would like to wish Daniel luck and we hope locals from across Hayes get behind him to help him win.”
