A 24-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of the murder of a Hillingdon woman.

Detectives investigating the murder of Pardeep Kaur arrested a man after he walked into Slough Police Station at approximately 5pm Monday, October 31.

The suspect is now in custody at a north London police station and enquiries continue.

Pardeep, 30, was reported missing at approximately 8pm on Monday, October 17, after she did not return home from work and a missing person investigation began.

That investigation was taken over by the Homicide and Major Crime Command on Thursday, October 20.

On Saturday, October 22, shortly after 4:30pm, detectives leading the search for Pardeep discovered the body of a woman, concealed on waste ground, underneath the Harlington High Street flyover in Hayes.

Pardeep was formally identified on Wednesday, October 26.

A post-mortem examination was carried out on Tuesday, October 25 - at this stage the cause of death is inconclusive and the results of further tests are awaited.
