A MAN was charged on Thursday, 3 November, with the murder of Pardeep Kaur in Hillingdon.

He is Vadims Ruskuls, 24, (27.2.92) a Latvian national of no fixed abode. He was further charged with preventing the lawful burial of the deceased.

He appeared in custody at Hendon Magistrates Court that afternoon, and was remanded to appear at the Old Bailey on Monday, 7 November.

Pardeep, 30, was reported missing at approximately 20:00hrs on Monday, 17 October, after she did not return home from work. A missing person investigation began. That investigation was taken over by the Homicide and Major Crime Command on Thursday, 20 October.

On Saturday, 22 October, detectives leading the search for Pardeep discovered her body concealed on waste ground underneath the Harlington High Street flyover in Hayes.

A post-mortem examination was carried out on Tuesday, 25 October. At this stage the cause of death is inconclusive and the results of further tests are awaited.
