ANGEL RADIO, the station staffed by pensioner volunteers that only plays music from the 1920s to the the early 1960s, can now be heard in Hillingdon and Uxbridge on DAB+ digital radio.

Between now and Saturday, December 10, the radio station is broadcasting test transmissions featuring clips of their various programmes and announcements urging younger people to buy their parents or grandparents a new digital radio for Christmas so that they can enjoy Angel Radio's reminiscence therapy every day.

Local digital airwaves are now awash with the crackly sounds of shellac discs and pensioners' voices.

With its entirely unique sound, Angel Radio will be providing nostalgic entertainment, relevant information, and mental and physical stimulation to thousands of senior citizens in the area.

Angel Radio will launch its full programme service on December 10.
