Rosina Robson, Lib Dem candidate for Uxbridge and South Ruislip, challenged Boris Johnson to a 5-a-side match while visiting the Goals football facility in South Ruislip this weekend.

Rosina said: "Of course, I have challenged Johnson and his team to a five-a-side match, but he’s not been seen much locally lately."

Focussing on her campaign to turn Uxbridge and South Ruislip gold, Rosina said she heard concerns about the NHS and education cuts.

"People locally are fed up with false promises from the current government," said Rosina.

"The concerns about our current government are widespread, from the business people I spoke to families with young children.

"Our team covered a lot of ground on Saturday talking to residents and businesses in South Ruislip about local issues."

Rosina said that many residents who voted to remain in the European Union were also concerned about the hard Brexit route that the government is taking.
