ONE of London’s biggest hotel chains, Travelodge, is looking to develop a further 11 sites in North and West London – with Hillingdon and Greenford-Northolt among the locations.
It could create around 220 new jobs across the region and would boost Travelodge hotels to 80 in this part of the capital.
The expansion was announced today at the official opening of Travelodge’s 522nd hotel in Wood Green.
Bryn Taylor, Travelodge Regional Director for South East, said: “North London is a key growth area for us as there is a big shortage of branded hotels and customers are crying out for more good-quality and low-cost places to stay at.
“To meet this growing demand, we are actively looking for 11 new hotel sites across the region, with Hillingdon and Greenford-Northolt being key locations.
“This investment will also create great career opportunities within the community and boost the local economy, as our research shows Travelodge customers will annually spend around £3m with local businesses during their stay.”
