BRUNEL University in Uxbridge is restarting its free public lecture series in which leading academics uncover the facts, fiction and fantasy behind some of the most important issues facing society today.
The expert panellists will tackle four distinct topics on the theme of What Lies Beneath? each Wednesday evening in February.
The first debate on Wednesday, February 7, at 6.30pm is Plastic Pollution and the Planet – Stemming the Rising Tide.
Environmental scientists Prof Susan Jobling and Prof Andreas Kortenkamp will be joined by media sociologist Dr Lesley Henderson to explore the damaging effect of chemicals, contaminants and plastics in our society and to ask whether there is a solution to the ever-growing problem of pollutants in our daily lives.
