A NEW voice to represent the interests of all communities associated with Heathrow is settling into the job.
Rachel Cerfontyne is now chairman of the Heathrow Community Engagement Board.
A selection panel made up of delegates from the board, Heathrow, the Department for Transport and Harmondsworth and Sipson Residents’ Association unanimously selected her.
She will focus on building trust between Heathrow and its communities and holding the airport to account on delivering its commitments.

Her most recent role was as deputy chair of the Independent Police Complaints Commission, where she spent nine years and oversaw their two largest investigations, including the Hillsborough Disaster and the Rotherham Child Sexual Abuse scandal.
Having spent her early years in Feltham, she has first-hand knowledge of the impact Heathrow has on its neighbours.
She said: “My highest priority is getting out and about, meeting people in the local communities and hearing their views.”
