MABEL, a three-year-old greyhound, is enjoying life on a canal boat after being adopted from the Harefield re-homing centre of Dogs Trust West London.
Mabel stole Sam Tuckett’s heart when he visited the centre looking for a four-legged addition to his home.
Sam said: “I was very open as to what breed or age of dog I wanted to adopt. Also, I wasn’t sure whether I’d be able to re-home, due to the fact I live on a canal boat.

“The centre introduced me to Mabel and I knew she was the one for me straight away. I was delighted when the relevant checks deemed my home suitable. It’s been an adventurous month with her, and she’s seen lots of new places, she’s having a great time with me, and I have with her too!”
Richard Moore, rehoming centre manager at Harefield, said: “Mabel looks to be having a whale of a time living on the water. We’re so happy for her!”
