A PUPIL at St Martin’s School, Northwood, has become the first boy to win the National Poetry Award for children.
Antonio Mo, 12, wrote The Bottle Fish on this year’s theme of The Sea and was chosen from 2,300 entries. He has been invited to join the panel of judges next year.

Taaj Shah, Anish Lingam and Kemji Munro-Lall were also selected to have their poems published in the anthology, which will raise money for Dr Barnardo's.
Author Christina Gabbitas presented Antonio with a canvas of his poem in assembly at St Martin's School on Wednesday when he read out his poem. All four boys received certificates and a poetry book.
