BORIS Johnson has called on Gordon Brown to publically defend his decision over Heathrow at a debate in Hillingdon.

Mr Johnson is holding the meeting on January 21 at the Beck Theatre in Hayes.

Mr Johnson said: "I throw down the gauntlet to Gordon Brown to publicly defend this deeply undemocratic decision at my People's Question Time in Hillingdon a community that is being asked to live with its consequences."

Other speakers who will join the Mayor in answering your questions include Richard Barnes, Deputy Mayor and London Assembly Member for Ealing and Hillingdon, British Airways, BAA and campaigning groups from both sides of the expansion debate.

Mr Johnson said: "There has never been a proper public debate on this issue and now the Government has decided to proceed, there clearly has to be."

The Question Time is being held at the Beck Theatre on Wednesday, January 21. Doors open 6pm.
