A COMPETITION being run by Hillingdon Garden Centre calls for children aged four to eight to draw their perfect cake.
The winner will enjoy a picnic for 20 friends in the garden centre restaurant as well as use of the play area.
The contest helps mark Love British Food fortnight, a celebration of the diverse range of British food as well as the healthy benefits of eating fresh, seasonal and regionally-distinct produce.
Colin Rushby, manager of the garden centre in Pield Heath Road, said: “It’s already proving very popular with youngsters, but we’d like to see lots more wonderful drawings.
“The cake can be any shape or colour but it must be themed around something British, such as the Jubilee, native flowers or anything else with a British theme.”
The winner will be announced on Monday, September 17.
Entry forms are available at the garden centre and the closing date for entries is Friday, August 31 at 4.30pm.
