PLANS to provide more parking spaces for brown badge holders in Hillingdon were announced this week.
The badge, which has benefited 7,000 residents since its 2008 launch, allows motorists over 65 to park in allotted bays.
Hillingdon, the only local authority to successfully introduce such a scheme, is creating more badge-holder spaces in town centres this year.
Council leader Ray Puddifoot said: “We are now going that little bit further to provide more easily accessible parking places even nearer to shops and amenities.”
To apply for a badge, send your name, address and phone number (optional) to: Brown Badge, London Borough of Hillingdon, Parking Services, 2N/01 Civic Centre, High Street, Uxbridge, Middlesex, UB8 1UW. Or email: parkingenforcement@hillingdon.gov.uk
