A HAREFIELD man has embarked upon an eight-day motorbike ride around the UK coast to raise money for a cancer charity.

Euan Stronach, is cancer scientist at Hammersmith Hospital's ovarian cancer action research centre.

The 34-year-old, who lives in Milne Way, set off today (Saturday) to ride 3,200 miles on his Yamaha Fazer 1000, for charity Ovarian Cancer Action.

Euan, said: "I think this will be a good way of raising money and awareness of ovarian cancer.

"By setting myself such a big challenge I hope to raise as much money as possible for the charity."

Euan said the ride last for eight consecutive days, riding for around 12 hours each day.

The clockwise ride around the UK's coastline began at Euan's home in Harefield at 6am this morning, after which he rode towards the Kent coastline, heading to the South coast.

Euan, who will finish his expedition on Saturday, May 24, hopes to raise £5,000.
