CHILDREN at Phoenix Pre-School Centre received a huge boost when the Metropolitan Police handed over a cheque for £4,065.
The money will be used to support the work of the centre, including a new project called Bromley EarlyBird Partnership which works with parents and young children newly-diagnosed with autism.
Vital equipment will be bought including special computer items and new musical instruments.
Headteacher Helen Norris said: “We are so fortunate to have had all this support. Our children are extra special. They will benefit so much from these new resources and have such fun in their newly-refurbished house.”
A PROLIFIC thief who habitually broke into and stole from cars has been banned from the borough.
Hayes and Yeading United will try to get their first home win of the Blue Square South season today when they entertain Bishop's Stortford.
George Michael told British fans it was good to be home as he performed one of the final shows in his two-year 25 Live Tour.
