Around 120 business students organised and took part in a sponsored walk from Uxbridge College’s campus in Park Road, Uxbridge, to its site in Hayes.

The group completed the five mile walk to raise money for the charity ‘Safe and Sound’, which helps support young people in south London.

The students are on the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Business, and organised the walk as part of the ‘Planning a Business Event’ unit.

Lucy Khennache, Business Lecturer, said: “The event was a real success, with a really motivational speech from the charity and excellent efforts from the students, who remained in good spirits throughout. The College was very proud of their achievements and it is great to see them using the skills learned in their studies to raise money for charity.”

Sponsorship money is still being collected and the final amount raised is to be confirmed.
