A TERRORIST code was found at the home of a former High Wycombe man accused of plotting to blow up passenger jets over the Atlantic, a court heard this week.

Jurors were told the document was found in the bedroom of Umar Islam, formerly known as Brian Young, 30, at his wife's home in West Ham, east London, after his arrest on August 9, 2006.

The list contained a number of actions alongside everyday phrases, including 'someone ready for jihad' with 'going to have a party,' Woolwich Crown court heard.

Fellow suspect Arafat Waheed Khan, 26, of Walthamstow, was granted an £8,000 bank loan a month before his arrest, jurors heard.

They were told that detectives found torn pieces of paper at the home of Waheed Zaman, 23, of Walthamstow, which appeared to be similar to a speech made on his alleged martyrdom video.' The court heard that batteries containing a small lightbulb - aleged to be a detonator - were found at the London home of Tanvir Hussain, 27, of Leyton.

Police also found an alleged suicide note and a book titled Terrorism and the Teachings of Islam. Another note by suspect Ibrahim Savant from Hackney, was in contemplation of his death', said Peter Wright, QC, prosecuting.

The suspects are among eight men, including Assad Sarwar, 27, of Walton Drive, High Wycombe, accused of plotting to blow up planes with bottle bombs. All men deny conspiracy to murder and endanger aircraft.

The trial continues.
