DROITWICH Spa FC can set the ball rolling for a cup treble by beating Bewdley Town in the Worcestershire Junior Cup final tonight (7.30pm kick off).

Manager Kevin Blaber is hoping victory over Bewdley at Worcester City will be the catalyst for the rest of the season.

Spa also have crucial semi-finals in the Challenge Vase and Worcestershire Hospital Cup coming up in the next few weeks and are still chasing promotion in the Midland Combination Division Two.

Blaber said: "Winning the Junior Cup might be the start of big things for us.

"We're still in with a shout for promotion as well, which is the main aim."

Droitwich face a daunting task to win their first silverware against a Bewdley side which is making its third straight appearance in the final.

Droitwich's opponents are also riding high in the West Midlands Division One.

However, Blaber believes the spirit which knocked out Midland Combination Division One Littleton can see his Division Two side go all the way.

He said: "Bewdley are the runaway favourites and a division higher than us.

"But so were Littleton in the semi-finals so there is no reason why we can't win," he added.
