Watford head coach Walter Mazzarri believes his side are making progress but insists the team still need to focus on keeping the ball better.
The Hornets head into the international break with eight points from seven games following Saturday's draw at home to Bournemouth.
Mazzarri's side have yet to keep a clean sheet this season but the Italian is more concerned with improving their possession of the ball and their tempo.
The Hornets boss said: “As I said and now I can say it especially because we had the Bournemouth game on our backs, we have always played good football. The only game we weren’t able to do so was against Burnley where we had a terrible game.
"Of course now the team understands the lesson of Burnley and I hope we continue on this path.
“Something we still need to work on is to keep the ball more and also to get better in moving the ball quicker.
"There are still some things in the middle of the game that we still need to improve."
Watford's next Premier League game is at Middlesbrough a week on Sunday.
