Watford fans could look forward to in-form forward Isaac Success making his first start for the Hornets on Sunday, after head coach Walter Mazzarri revealed the Nigerian had recovered from a leg injury.

Success had been ruled out of making his debut for his native Super Eagles side because of the injury suffered in Watford's draw with Bournemouth on October 1, but has now returned to training at London Colney where he has been undergoing his recovery.

Mazzarri said the 20-year-old may not be capable of completing 90 minutes at the Riverside - but after netting his first goal at Vicarage Road last time out, he may be in line for his first start.

"He has recovered very well and looks OK," the head coach said. "The only thing I need to check is if he has the 90 minutes in him and if he has recovered completely from his injury.

"I’m reflecting on him and reflecting on all the options. I am evaluating all the players during the week."

Mazzarri had suggested the youngster needed to improve his defensive work before he would be thrown in from the off when addressing the media after that Bournemouth game, but spoke in glowing terms today about Success' improvement since arriving in England in the summer.

"I think he’s adapting very well to English football," he said. "Every time he comes on, including at Burnley wehre the team played badly, he was one of the best. I need to know if he’s got 90 minutes in him after his injuries."

Mazzarri also moved to address reports of Success fabricating his injury to avoid paying his air fare to travel to Nigeria - something which has since been denied by the Nigerian Football Federation.

"We have a very good relationship with the national team," Mazzarri said. "The proof is that immediately after the game we sent the e-mail to the Nigerian federation and spoke with them on the phone confirming he had an injury.

"They replied confirming he was excused from the game."
