Watford should be able to bring back several of the injured players for Saturday's clash against Middlesbrough at Vicarage Road.

Stefano Okaka is expected to be available, following his layoff with a hamstring problem, while Valon Behrami is also in line to return.

Goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes and defender Jose Holebas have both recovered from the fever which kept them out of the FA Cup win over Burton last weekend.

Juan Camilo Zuniga has also been sidelined in recent weeks but the versatile wing-back is available although Daryl Janmaat is struggling to make the game and Isaac Success is still out.

Head coach Walter Mazzarri said: “It’s almost a race against time. Tomorrow we will know more but I hope to have at least Okaka. But I want to wait until tomorrow to confirm everything because I don’t want to risk anyone.

“Valon Behrami I also hope to have him back while Janmaat I’m not sure because he has a bit of a problem. Behrami is more of a yes than a no while Janmaat is more of a no than yes.”

Watford have gone five games without a win in the league and head into this weekend’s clash against Boro only three points above their 16th-placed opponents in the table.
