Watford boss Walter Mazzarri believes Tom Cleverley's Premier League experience can help improve the Hornets during the second half of the season.

The Everton midfielder rejoined the Hornets for the second time yesterday after signing on loan until the end of the season.

Watford are not blessed with too many home grown players and Cleverley could prove a valuable addition as the club look to halt their slide down the table.

Head coach Mazzarri said: “I saw him play many times with Manchester United and also with Everton. He’s a player with a lot of quality and we hope to make him play even better than when he played with his previous clubs.

“Cleverley in this moment, where we’re also missing some players in the squad due to injuries, first of all brings a big help.

He’s a player with a lot of experience and knows very well the Premier League. He’s a player that can help us win and can give us a great help to do even better in the second half of the season."
