They say nothing in life is impossible, but victory at Stamford Bridge tonight is close enough for Walter Mazzarri's Watford.

Even if the visitors had not lost their last four and picked up just three wins on the road all season, few would give the Hornets a cat in hell's chance of adding to their 40-point tally in the penultimate game of their Premier League season.

For Stamford Bridge has been rebuilt as fortress, calved out of the wreckage of the last campaign, under the masterful architecture of Antonio Conte.

A minor blip against Crystal Palace aside, the Italian has dropped points only once more on home soil all season - losing 2-1 to Liverpool in mid-Setpember, even before the introduction of his now famous 3-4-3.

With the title now under their belt following Friday's 1-0 win at West Brom, there is a hope the Blues might take their foot off the gas somewhat - but it's not too likely given their professionalism all season.

The Blues may be tempted to rest some players in light of next weekend's FA Cup Final with Arsenal, but even the club's fringe players have a point to prove ahead of a busy summer at Stamford Bridge.

The form book

This immediately doesn't look good for Watford. Chelsea have won 12 of their last 14 in the Premier League and only five times all season.

The Blues did go on a run of 11 games without a clean sheet in the league, but haven't conceded a single goal in their last three games.

Keeping them at bay is Watford's hardest task; Chelsea haven't failed to score at home since last April.

Spy in the camp

Oliver Harbord, Chelsea reporter for football.london, thinks Antonio Conte will be likely to make a number of changes tonight - but isn't convinced it will give Watford a shot of anything.

He said: "I think they'll rotate the squad, especially having played last Monday and then on Friday.

"Having sealed the title, and with the FA Cup final in mind, Conte might look to rest some players who have been playing regularly.

"It would be nice to see some of the fringe players getting a chance; Michy Batshuayi, who scored the winning goal on Friday, hasn't started a league game all season.

"John Terry may well start ahead of his last Chelsea game this weekend, especially as David Luiz has been carrying an injury since January.

"Conte won't let Chelsea take their foot off the pedal, though."

Man to mark

This could be a tricky one - normally, Eden Hazard would be a shoe-in, but it's far from certain he will start tonight.

In his expected absence, Willian will be a man with a point to prove, having spent more time on the bench this season than he would have liked, despite generally performing when called upon.

The Brazilian has started only 13 league games but has scored seven goals - an impressive tally, and the equivalent of just under a goal every other game.

He is a real danger from set-pieces, most recently scoring a fine free-kick in the FA Cup semi-final win over Tottenham, and can cause Watford real problems on the right of their front three.

The Watford connection

Watford were narrowly beaten by the Blues at Vicarage Road earlier in the season, having outplayed their visitors for much of the encounter.

Last season, as Chelsea toiled to 10th place, they were held by the Hornets in both their Premier League meetings. Troy Deeney and a Gary Cahill own goal gave Watford a 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge on Boxing Day.

As for the last Watford victory, we have to go all the way back to 1999, when Allan Smart's goal was enough to give then-manager Gianluca Vialli the Blues.

What they've said

Conte was at pains to stress the importance of getting Chelsea's mindset right for tonight's game, with the celebrations from Friday night's title win at West Brom sure to be fresh in their minds.

He said: "We have to work in training to prepare in the right way for these two games against Watford and Sunderland, and then prepare for the FA Cup final.

"We have the opportunity to win the double and we must be ready to do this.

"Yes, for sure [we can improve] but we have only been working for nine months together.

"If we continue they can improve a lot because now they know my ideas and I know them, and their characteristics, so we can improve."
