Watford's number-one choice for head coach, Hull City's Marco Silva, is keeping his lips firmly sealed for the moment.

Speaking ahead of Hull's final game of the season with Tottenham on Sunday, out-of-contract Silva has held talks with the Tigers' heirarchy about staying on at the KCOM Stadium.

But he may be drawn to an immediate return to the Premier League, after the club was relegated from the top flight with last weekend's 4-0 battering by Crystal Palace.

Silva said: "It is impossible for me to talk about the other clubs first because Hull City deserve all my respect and after we have one more game to play and this club, Watford in this case, have one more game to play as well and until now nothing has happened.

"This is the truth and it is impossible to talk about Club A, B or C, the most important is that I stay here to work with Hull City and not talk about other clubs."

Silva would not commit himself to staying at Hull, with his contract up at the end of next month, but neither has he ruled himself out of staying on Humberside as the Tigers mount an assault on a Premier League return.

He said: "At this moment first the club looks what is better for the club. Of course it is for me and for the players to see what is the situation.

"It is not the moment to talk. I need to talk one more time, a couple of times more, with the Chairman and we will see about the future."
