Crawley Town are reportedly on the verge of appointing former Watford under-23 coach Harry Kewell as manager.
The Australian’s time at Watford was largely uninspiring as he struggled to pick up positive results and subsequently left the club last month.
The Brighton Argus understands the ex-Liverpool and Leeds United player will take the reins at the League Two club in the next week.
Crawley have been without a manager since Dermot Drummy was left the club with one game remaining in the 2016/17 campaign.
Should Kewell take over, it will be his first job in senior management and he will be tasked on bettering Town’s 19th-place finish achieved last term.
