Watford fans were given a first look at how their team are shaping up under new head coach Marco Silva in a 3-2 defeat at AFC Wimbledon this afternoon.

Following a goalless first half in which the Hornets were unable to beat on-song goalkeeper George Long, they found themselves two goals down within four minutes of the restart through Cody McDonald's quick-fire brace.

Ben Watson reduced the deficit before Steven Berghuis equalised, but the Hornets were unable to hold on for a draw as Alfie Egan struck a late winner for the hosts.

Above are selection of images from today's first senior pre-season friendly for the Hornets.
