Watford have signed Brazilian starlet Richarlison from Fluminense on a five-year deal, after the South American was granted a work permit for his move to the UK.
The 20-year-old is an Under-20 international in his home country and scored 15 goals for Fluminense in 2017 prior to his move, which was finally completed today after being agreed at the start of last week.
Richarlison joins for a fee of around £11.2 million, after the Hornets beat off interest from clubs including Chelsea and Ajax to secure his signature.
He was in the stands for Saturday's 0-0 draw with Real Sociedad at Vicarage Road, and could start this weekend's Premier League opener with Liverpool, having joined in training at the club's London Colney base for more than a week.
The Hornets have moved to make him their sixth summer signing, and the first since Nathaniel Chalobah joined the club on July 13.
And Richarlison will provide a welcome boost to the Watford forward line, with Stefano Okaka and Jerome Sinclair previously their only fit strikers going into the new season.
