Roberto Pereyra will not be rushed back into action, despite Marco Silva revealing the Watford winger’s latest injury set back is not severe.

The Argentine, who has only recently returned to full fitness after suffering cruciate ligament damage, limped out of the Hornets’ 4-2 defeat to Chelsea on Saturday.

Silva expects Pereyra to be back in action after the November international break at the latest, but accepts his condition needs to be monitored carefully.

“I can’t say to you 100 per cent for sure [when he will be back],” Silva said.

“He came back in good fitness and did very well in the last game. We hope if he is not back for the Everton game he is available after the break.

“I believe this injury will not keep him out for a long time but we need to be careful, and put him back in when he has good fitness.”

Watford will continue to be without a number of key names for Stoke’s visit to Vicarage Road tomorrow.

Nathaniel Chalobah, Isaac Success and Craig Cathcart are all long-term absentees, but Silva revealed there is better news concerning Younes Kaboul and Sebastian Prodl.

The defensive duo have both been out since September and will miss tomorrow’s game, despite stepping up their returns to fitness.

Silva said: “We have a situation with Younes Kaboul and Sebastian Prodl.

“They are still unavailable but in the next few days they will start training with the first team.”
