Marco Silva feels Will Hughes is on his way to becoming a Premier League player, after previously stating the 22-year-old had work to do to become a member of the Hornets' squad.
Hughes made his top-flight debut last week in place of Andre Carrillo, nearly three months after the start of the season.
His place in the squad was largely facilitated by injuries elsewhere - with Roberto Pereyra and Isaac Success both missing - but Silva also believes the former Derby man has earned his inclusion.
He said: "Will improves every day. He’s a player I said a few weeks ago I’m happy with him, he improves and enjoys being here and tries to get in the squad every day.
"If you have everyone fit, it’s hard to get in the squad, with Pereyra and Chalobah, but I’m happy with his behaviour and his work and if I decide he’s ready he’s ready."
