Watford will make the short trip to west London to face Brentford in pre-season after the first friendly ahead of the 2018/19 campaign was confirmed.
The Hornets will travel to the Bees on Saturday, July 28 with the game kicking off at 3pm.
Dean Smith’s side finished ninth in the Championship this season, missing out on a play-off place by six points.
Meanwhile, Spartan South Midlands League champions Welwyn Garden City have announced they by entertaining a Hornets side managed by Under-23 boss Hayden Mullins on Saturday, August 4 – the same day as The Graham Taylor Matchday at Vicarage Road when the statue commissioned in honour of the club’s greatest manager will be unveiled.
