Hayes and Yeading United's promotion hopes were dented after they were beaten 1-0 at Bromley in the Blue Square South on Tuesday night.

A goal from Warren McBean after 21 minutes was enough to send the Reds to only their fifth league defeat of the season.

United remain second in the table but it was a missed opportunity to gain some ground on leaders Chelmsford, who they face on Saturday in the FA Trophy at Church Road.
