It’s second versus first at Allianz Park with Saracens facing a stern test against reigning champions Exeter on Sunday.

Sarries have suffered three defeats on the spin in all competitions, losing against Gloucester at Kingsholm last time out, after being beaten by Sale and Harlequins in the Anglo-Welsh Cup.

This stuttering form has also seen depending champions Chiefs unseat Sarries at the top of the Premiership, two points ahead of Mark McCall’s side.

However, Sarries boast the most potent attack in the league, having amassed 270 points from their eight matches so far. Exeter have conceded the fewest points with just 129 shipped. Both teams have six wins and two defeats.

And despite the recent defeats, Sarries have not come out second best in a home Premiership match in the last 19 clashes in Hendon.

Exeter’s Lachlan Turner is under no illusion as to the threat Sarries pose to his Chiefs side.

"We know all about Saracens and what they bring,” said the 30-year-old.

“These days there are not too many surprises in a long season, but our main focus this week will be on ourselves and making sure we are better than last week."
