Edgware Town saw off leaders Dartford 2-1 at the White Lion on Saturday - but it still might not be enough to book a place in the Ryman League Division One North play-offs.

The Wares travel to Ware for their final game on Saturday, relying on other teams to slip up.

Even if they do pick up three points, they must hope the likes of Brentwood Town, Bury Town and Canvey Island have a bad day.

It is all very tight and calculators may be required. Edgware must finish in the top five to make the play-offs.

Though the Wares beat their Kent visitors on Saturday, Dartford were still crowned champions.

Denis Maharjan struck in the 90th minute, with Greg Ngoyi scoring just before the half-hour mark in what was a fine advert for non-league football.

Wingate & Finchley drew 1-1 with Waltham Abbey. The Blues conclude their league campaign with a trip to champions Dartford on Saturday.

Potters Bar Town lost 2-0 at home to Brentwood. The Scholars finish the season with a game at AFC Sudbury.
