Hendon will meet some old and new faces next season.

The FA has confirmed the line-up for the Ryman League Premier Division (subject to ratification next month), with some interesting encounters on the cards.

Coming up from Division One North and South are Dartford, Canvey Island, Dover Athletic and Tooting & Mitcham. The Greens met the latter in the London Senior Cup final last month and will be looking for revenge, after suffering defeat in that game.

Dover, managed by ex-Gillingham boss Andy Hessenthaler, and Canvey Island are former Conference clubs.

Coming down from Blue Square Premier South are Sutton United, a side Hendon have faced on many occasions in the past.

Meanwhile, Boreham Wood have won a reprieve from relegation due to Halifax Town's plight, so Hendon will once again be making the short trip to Meadow Park.

The Greens just missed out on a place in the play-offs last season.

* Wingate & Finchley and Potters Bar Town will be looking forward to making a number of new acquaintances.

Cheshunt, Concord Rangers and Hillingdon Borough are among the new names in Ryman League Division One North.

However, Edgware Town will not be among them, the Wares having resigned from the division due to their off-the-pitch problems.

Andy Hess was a great servant to many many clubs up and down the land during his career.

I did not know he was at a new club in Dover, and so I wish him the best of luck.
