Saracens have received hundreds of messages from supporters praising their efforts in last weekend's Heineken Cup semi-final defeat to Munster.

The majority of the Men in Black broke down in tears having come within three points of reaching the final and that show of raw emotion has struck a chord with their fans.

In his weekly newsletter to fans, skipper Neil de Kock said: "The messages of support you sent through that currently cover the whole wall on the physio room have helped a lot. I'm not sure I've known the room so quiet when full of players - everyone has been reading those messages."

The scrum-half admitted he hardly slept on Sunday night as he went over the match in his head.

"The mood on the bus back to Hatfield wasn't too bad," he added. "We had a few beers, sung a few songs and just had time to sit and reflect with each other.

"But I did find it hard to sleep that night. I don't think I got more than a hour in total. All through the night all I could think of was the game. What if I'd done this differently or if I'd done that, would that have changed the result?"
