A 15-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the death of a man murdered during a break-in.
The boy was detained last night and is being held in custody at a police station in south London, Scotland Yard said.
The victim, believed to be in his late 30s, was found with serious injuries on Tuesday evening by police and paramedics at an address in Huntingfield Road, Roehampton, south London.
An air ambulance crew arrived but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man's identity has not been released as officers are still locating his next of kin. A post-mortem examination will take place today.
Detectives have been keen to trace three men seen loitering in the area before the man was killed.
Detective Chief Inspector Charlie King said: "At this early stage we are keeping an open mind about any possible motive.
"Members of the public have already provided us with accounts of three young men seen loitering in the area prior to the incident. I am directly appealing to these young men to come forward and speak us."
Anyone with information should call police on 0208 721 4205 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
