PUBLIC NOTICE TO INVITE COMMENTS ON THE DRAFT SUPPLEMENTARY PLANNING DOCUMENT -AIR QUALITY
The Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012 (as amended) Public consultation: 1 November to 13 December 2019
The Council is consulting on a draft Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) on Air Quality for a 6 week period from 1 November to 13 December 2019.
The draft SPD provides guidance to address air quality issues affecting the borough and assist in providing a consistent approach to new development. The primary aim of the SPD is to supplement existing Local Plan Policies which seek to improve air quality in the borough.

What happens next
A summary of the responses to the above consultations will be made available following the consultation period. These responses will be fully considered and if appropriate, changes will be made to the final version prior to its adoption by the Council's Environment, Sustainability, Culture and Sport Service Committee, which is intended to be in early 2020. The adopted SPD can be a material consideration in planning decisions.
