THE Bear will come to Maidenhead this Christmas - as Norden Farm Centre for the Arts reveals its festive family show.

An adaptation of Raymond Briggs’ much-loved children’s story will come to the Maidenhead venue from November 26 to December 29.

The Bear tells the story of a little girl who befriends a mischievous polar bear, this playful, funny and heart-warming wintry tale is one of imagination and growing up.

The book by Raymond Briggs, author and illustrator of The Snowman, was first published in 1994.

It has been adapted for the stage by award-winning theatre company Pins and Needles Productions.

The cast consists of accomplished actors and puppeteers Josie Rattigan as Tilly, Maxwell Tyler as Dad, and Elena Stephenson as Mum.

Josie Rattigan (pictured) says she is “delighted” to be leaving paw prints across the world playing Tilly in The Bear.

She trained at Bristol Old Vic Theatre school. Since then her credits have included top UK and international tours.

Maxwell Tyler trained at Drama Studio London.

He is thrilled to be involved in The Bear. Maxwell’s acting career spans theatre and television.

He also performed in the Olivier-nominated Alice’s Adventures Underground.

Elena Stephenson is “ecstatic” to be joining The Bear this winter. She trained at the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain.
