It's many happy returns for The Abbots Langley Orchestra this Sunday as the group celebrates its 40th anniversary with a concert of Russian masterpieces. The programme features excerpts from the opera Eugene Onegin by Tchaikovsky and music composed by Stravinsky for the ballet The Fairy’s Kiss under the baton of conductor John Fryer.
The soloist in the Violin Concerto by Mendelssohn will be Atsuko Kamisaku.
The concert is at St Lawrence Church in Abbots Langley on Sunday at 8pm.
Admission is £6 by programme, payable at the door.
