THE Michael Sobell Hospice volunteer gardening team are on a winning streak by picking up two prizes in the Hillingdon in Bloom awards and one in the London Gardens Society London Hospices competition.
At Hillingdon in Bloom, the gardeners came first in the communal garden display category with a prize of £100 and third in the best permanent display category with a prize of £60.
The gardeners also picked up the silver gilt award at the London Gardens Society competition in the small garden section.
Diana Stuckey, one of the MSH gardeners, said: “We will be buying plants for the winter garden at the hospice with the prize money.”
Helen Elliott, chief executive of Michael Sobell, said: “They are a team of 12 people who turn up every Tuesday, come rain or shine, and create the most beautiful and peaceful sanctuary for our patients and their families to enjoy – it really brightens up their stay at the hospice.”
