AFTER the success of the first Open Mic Night at Uxbridge Library, Hillingdon Council is making the event a regular fixture.
Open Mic Night will return on Friday, December 12, from 7.30pm and will run every two months.
Cllr Douglas Mills, cabinet member for community, said: “Around 50 people attended the inaugural night in October in the newly-refurbished surroundings.
“It is great news this event was enthusiastically received and will continue to give local performers the opportunity to hone their talents and entertain audiences.”
Refreshments will be available and entry is £3.50, to be paid on the door. The entry fee includes one free drink, such as a soft drink or glass of wine.
Performers can either sign up on the night, or e-mail Charlotte Baldwin, Arts Programming Officer, in advance, on cbaldwin@hillingdon.gov.uk This is recommended as last time places were taken quickly.
