INTU Uxbridge shopping centre will be working in partnership Michael Sobell Hospice for 2015 and is inviting Hillingdon people to join the launch at the centre this Saturday (24).
The centre will make a pledge to sponsor a Sobell nurse for a year (worth £25,000) and formally start its adoption of the hospice.
Helen Elliott, Sobell chief executive, will share share some inspiring words about the work of the hospice, with the support of Hillingdon’s mayor, Cllr Catherine Dann.
Pin badges, which represent a butterfly from the centre’s butterfly installation, go on sale for a minimum £1 donation which will go towards the hospice.
intu Uxbridge is in the early stages of planning a Butterfly Ball this year and will help re-decorate a hospice room for patients and families.
Children’s entertainers Mother Nature will provide some theatre, while little ones can enjoy face painting, arts and crafts from 11am-4pm.
