A HAYES supermarket will be sizzling on Saturday as it welcomes award-winning TV chef Manju Malhi.
The Brit-Indi style cook, who has appeared on BBC’s Saturday Kitchen, will be showing off her spicy mix of Indian and Western influences in a pop-up kitchen set up especially for her in Tesco.
She will be demonstrating a variety of dishes, using chicken and lamb as well as vegetarian alternatives, at the Tesco Extra on Hayes Bulls Bridge Industrial Estate.
Store manager Muhammad Rahman said: “My team and I are really excited to welcome Manju to our Tesco Extra store on Saturday.
"We hope that our customers will find the demonstrations inspiring and create some of Manju’s fantastic and simplistic recipes at home.
“Manju’s style of cooking is completely unique and I am sure that our customers will learn lots of new tips during her demonstrations.”
Malhi, who grew up in North West London surrounded by Indian culture, turned to experimenting in the kitchen when she found herself the victim of bullying at school.
Now she is known for appearances on ITV’s This Morning, Channel 5’s Open House and Paul Hollywood's Pies and Puds.
The author of Brit Spice and India With Passion will be giving cooking demonstrations at Tesco from 10am to 3pm on Saturday July 25.
