A PERSON has died after being hit by a train at Southall train station this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to Southall station just after 2pm following reports of the incident — the person was pronouced dead the scene.
The British Transport Police are not treating the incident as suspicious.
Following the incident, trains from Paddington towards Reading and Heathrow Airport have been delayed by up to an hour.
Lines have now reopened however trains may still be disrupted as services return to normal.

Disruption is expected to continue until approximately 5:30pm.
