A SCOUT group learned about the origins of healthy foods after taking part in a fresh fruit master class.
Asda Hayes hosted the workshop to raise awareness of the importance of healthy eating habits and to promote an active healthy lifestyle.
The group was invited to learn all about the benefits and origins of fresh produce, including mangoes and pineapples, pomegranates and melons, figs, avocado and more.

Youngsters from the 1st Uxbridge Scout Group were also encouraged to complete a word search and a worksheet, asking them to describe and identify the different fruits along with their country of origin.
The scouts then went on to spend their day packing at the Asda tills to raise money for the 24th World Jamboree in West Virginia, USA, which they will visit for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
