A six-year-old boy was taken to hospital with head injuries after he was hit by a car.
The incident happened on the A405 in Watford on Saturday evening (April 14) at around 9pm.
The boy was crossing near McDonalds between Woodside Leisure Park and St Albans Road when he was reportedly struck by a black Volkswagen Polo.
An ambulance, ambulance officer, and a rapid response vehicle attended the scene alongside police.
The boy sustained head injuries and a cut to his abdomen. He was conscious when he was taken to St Mary's hospital, in Paddington, West London, by road.
His current condition is unknown.
There were no reports of anyone else injured.
The boy was with his mother and sister at the time of the incident.
The car involved was recovered and police closed the A405. It has since reopened.
